Welcome back to some of you and happy first days of college to others – we are very excited for the academic year 2017-2018! There are many opportunities that the Marketing department provides through coursework, conferences, sales competitions, career fairs, certificates, and other events. Also, our student organizations provide even more learning opportunities through AMA (American Marketing Association), MKT (Mu Kappa Tau Honor Society) and PSE (Pi Sigma Epsilon).
This year, we are happy to add two new lecturers to our department. Please helps us welcome Noelle Butski and Kenyatta Barber.
has tackled a wide range of sales and marketing activities including
analytics, copy writing, account management, sales management and strategic development. She has worked in both small businesses and large corporations in a variety of consumer packaged goods channels. In 2016 Noelle left the corporate world
to co-found Ascent Marketing, a boutique digital marketing agency in northern Illinois that focuses on the needs of small businesses and non-profit organizations. In 2017 she started teaching at her local community college where she “fell in love” with helping the next generation of sales and marketing professionals prepare for their careers. Noelle received her B.A in English from DePaul University and her M.B.A. in Marketing from Roosevelt University. Noelle is an active member of her local chamber of commerce and works closely with a variety of local charities.
has 10 years of combined industry experience in sales, project management and higher education. In addition to professional and collegiate experience
Kenyatta is a third-year student in the Doctorate of Business Administration program here at the UW-Whitewater. Her research interests include sustainable marketing, ethics, corporate social responsibility, branding and consumer buying behavior. When she is not studying or teaching classes you can find her enjoying the culture, sites and shopping in downtown Milwaukee and Chicago. She’s looking forward to proposing her dissertation this Fall and welcoming some free time in Fall of 2018 to devote more time to snowboarding and other research interests.
Welcome Noelle and Kenyatta!
