Professors Roy and Weber will lead a 3-credit travel study to Belgium and the Netherlands from May 15, 2016, to June 1, 2016. The course will cover the role of the European Union (EU), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and, to a lesser extent, NATO. The course will also include study of contract law, conflict resolution on an international scale, logistics (Netherland’s Flower Auction, De Koninck Brewery), and marketing (Touring Belgium Chocolatier). Belgium is the headquarters of the EU, the IMF, and NATO, affording students the opportunity to see the workings of these financial organizations firsthand.
For more information, see the travel study flyer, view the PowerPoint from the information session, or contact Professor Roy or Professor Weber. Up to $1,500 in scholarships are available through the travel study office through October 15, 2016.
